You really have to see these divine hard back books in person. Come experience the weight of them, the fine paper, the binding, the beautiful colors. (We have many more titles to peruse.) These would make excellent graduation gifts and/or delicious summer reading treats.

The Pasadena Waldorf School welcomes Philip Nix for three sessions on a classic text in Waldorf education by the late John Gardner. In his book Experience of Knowledge (republished as Education in Search of the Spirit) Gardner, who led the Garden City Waldorf School for nearly 30 years, explores the aims of Waldorf education. Mr. Nix, who has spent over 30 years working with Gardner’s insights, will be sharing his perspective on why Waldorf education has such extraordinary results. In describing his aims for these sessions, Mr. Nix says;
"Rudolf Steiner created a teaching practice that challenged teachers to grow. The teacher exemplifies the process of being awake to life’s wonder and possibility. In that effort the teacher gathers trust. The teachers’ authority is centered in their practice not merely their presentation of information.
"Let’s benefit from their example. John Gardner’s beautiful book will clarify the goals of Waldorf, but will open new dimensions to your relationship with your child and your own living."
Each session can stand alone, or you can attend two or three.
